The premise of the book is that 1 little blueberry falls to the ground and a series of bugs (2 ants, 3 ladybugs, 4 bees, etc.) see it and want to eat it. It is great for teaching kids to count. Each number appears in numerical form ("2") and is spelled out ("two"). The illustrations are cute but simple. I like that the illustrations are simple because they are not distracting (which is a complaint I have with an Elmo counting book that my daughter received). The pages and binding are sturdy and the book is a good size -- not too small or too big. And, the best thing about the book is that my daughter loves it. She has asked me to read it to her at least once a day since we got it. I bought the book from Amazon when it was in "bargain books" and think it is such a steal!
