Stephen Bly has produced another fun book that keeps the adventure rolling. The characters are real and "earthy" The irony in the plot is tightly interwoven in a fun sort of way. Sometimes the description of the adventure was complicated enough that I had to slow my reading and work to picture it. The committment to new found faith in face of great trials is amazing, but then so is God!

Tap knows he's innocent. Pepper believes it. But he's having a hard time proving it. So, Pepper determines to come alongside and help, until she finds out he has to go to Denver. That's one place she can't ever return to. Not even for Tap. That is, until Carter Dillard reappears and she has no choice. But Tap doesn't know she's coming and there's misunderstandings when their paths collide. Will their faith see them through? Lots of challenging spiritual truths and adventures.

Code of the West Series, Book 2, Dec 13 2010
By Karyl Entner "K Entner" - Published on Amazon.com

This book continues the saga of Tap and Pepper, the main characters in the Code of the West Series. Although one can read book 2 without having read book 1, it would be far better to have read book 1 and then read the books in sequence. Bly does a delightful job of mixing bang-bang, shoot 'em up with romance, and comic relief. Just when the reader thinks he knows what is bound to happen next, the reader is bound to be wrong! I appreciated the fact that Bly incorporates a Christian perspective without a glare-at-you attitude. He presents his characters with flaws but also gives a way of escape out of temptations. I particularly enjoyed reading the large type editions due to failing eyesight. I was rivoted to the book in many places and read far too long into the night to see what was going to happen next. Book 2 was missing in the series at my local library, so I am donating my book so they can have the whole series for others to enjoy. I can't imagine not knowing this content and going right into book 3.
