This review is from: Ong Bak 3 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
The first Ong Bak was great, and the second, good, but this one, the 3rd, really isn't satisfying. There is a good opening fight sequence, then a very long drawn out stretch of (what is referred to through the bonus material interviews as), character development. Then a too little too late closing finale, all wrapped up in a good vs. evil theme. It's sad that a lot of time and effort is wasted on a supernatural (voodoo) type plot, when the audience really just wants to see Tony Jaa display his physical feats of martial arts. (Sad to say, Tony Jaa co-wrote, co-directed, co-produced, and co-choreographed the film.) Bonus material includes brief cast and director interviews, as well as b-roll outtakes. (2 yawns)
