Book Description

The Oracle is based around 33 divine Feminine aspects that correspond to the wisdom and essence at the foundation of the Grail legends. Each of the 33 cards represents a different part of the puzzle that makes up the Grail Code and its embodiment of these Feminine principles. These principles lie at the heart of the Grail legacy, and carry with them the profound power of creativity, insight and transformation. The accompanying book explains each aspect in greater depth, providing both meditations to be used with each individual card as well as various Tarot-style spreads for more complex readings. An inspired blend of symbolic art and Feminine wisdom, The Oracle of the Grail Code takes the 33 aspects and traits of these divine Feminine properties (Beauty, Tolerance, Love, etc) and represents each with a separate work of art on each card. The book goes on to examine these cards one by one, explaining their meanings fully, and providing meditations to be used with each card for a deeper understanding of how to apply its message, as well as showing how to use them together in unique spreads developed specifically for this Oracle. Used in its entirety, this Oracle contains all that you will need to discover insights into yourself and awaken the spirit of the divine Feminine in all of us.

3.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful but flawed Deck, Nov 8 2010

This is a beautiful oversized deck. The meditations that accompany each card are also wonderful. My only complaint is that the meditations do not appear to be available in audio recordings. The book says they are, but I have received no responses to my two email requests for information about ordering the recordings. One could make recordings oneself since the text of the meditation is there. That would be A LOT of work though to do for each card. What a shame. The deck is wonderful but you really can't take full advantage of it's potential without these audio recordings.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful art for self-awareness, Dec 5 2008
By J. Hilton - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Oracle Of The Grail Code (Hardcover)
It is more than fair to say that the artwork in the "Oracle of the Grail Code" is stunning. It features Pre-Raphaelite style artists such as Dante Gabriel Rosetti, Frank Dicksee, Edward Burne-Jones, and John William Waterhouse, and classic works such as "The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli and the "Madonna Litta" by Da Vinci.

The oracle is similar to Tarot in that it uses cards as a form of divination, and the companion book (included) offers a few basic spreads or layouts. But that is where the similarity ends. There are only 33 cards (not the 78 of a typical Tarot deck), and there are no suits (pentacles, cups, etc) and no Major Arcana.

From the introduction of the book by Amy Sophia Marashinsky: The Oracle "serves women: to awaken and assist them in restoring the sacredness of their femininity that is unique to women. The Grail Code is life affirming. It is a road map for how to live your life in a way that will restore the sterile, polluted twenty-first century wasteland of modern life in a way that is filled with meaning, love, true liberty, and grace."

That's a bit of a tall order, and I'm not sure the Oracle lives up to it, but it is still a pleasant deck, nonetheless. And it doesn't have to be just for women. I tried this with a group of both men and women -- we each drew one card, and then read the associated descriptions in the book. The meanings were very poignant for each of us.

Let's be honest, this was published at the height of the "Da Vinci Code" craze in 2006. But it still stands up well on its own. Bringing together beautiful, classic works of art depicting the magical archetypes of womanhood -- nursing mothers, powerful queens, angels, warriors, princesses, goddesses -- and exploring the expressions of the self through such aspects of Charity, Love, Forgiveness, Peace, Play, Pleasure -- this is a unique and compelling tool for self-awareness.

This oracle deck is just beautiful! I have found it to be quite accurate. The book is very informative and includes meditations that you can do with each card, as well as the meanings of each card. This is a very high quality deck, the book is hardcover and the box the set comes in is first class.
