i purchased this to mix up my babies food back in the day. and also for blending soups.
in no time at all the plastic was cracking along the bottom.
also, (and this is of course my fault) it being plastic, you have to cool your soups down considerably before blending, otherwise it will warp! i made this mistake once, the soup had been made and was sitting for about 10 minutes, which was obviously not long enough, - as i was blending, i smelled a plastic smell, pulled the blender out of the soup and it was warping, (this was of course the end of that spinach soup:-( and the blender is now slightly disfigured and sad looking.
as said i should have been wiser and not put it in a hot(ish) soup pot, but this was ridiculous. most people use these blenders to puree soups, that's the whole idea!!
my next blender will be metal. and have a longer arm. i will have to pay more for it, but it will be worth it.
this blender is nice for making smoothies and cool sauces.

J'ai acheté cet appareil pour un usage modéré et je n'en suis pas déçu. Pour en augmenter la durabilité, j'évite de m'en servir pour broyer des aliments très durs comme des fruits congelés ou de la glace. Bref, il ne s'agit pas d'un mélangeur à main commercial ou haut de gamme, c'est pourquoi il est nécessaire de s'en servir en évitant de le malmener.
