Pound a Lawman?????, May 17 2010

Pound Taylor has been an outlaw for a long time. He ends up in Gila Bend, a town run by Billy Powers. Powrs and his men control everything in the town, they have killed the last four sheriffs. A Judge offers Pound a full pardon if he will become a lawman in Gila Bend, clean up the town and stay alive for a year. After watching what happens with a boy and his dog Pound takes the offer. He ends up getting help from unexpected men all of which make for a very good read. The others that Bagdon brings in add a lot to the story. Lots of action, lots of good lines, some very funny. Over all a very good western.

This book has all the elements I love in a western: the action is great, the characters are salty, the story is interesting...
Glad I found this one!

I downloaded this book as a freebie not expecting much. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. It turned out to be a great story that was very well written. The language may be a little offensive for some, but overall this is just a great book that will remind those who grew up watching the "B" westerns on Saturdays of how much fun a great shoot em up story can be.
