About the Author

Lindy Anne Nisbet is a writer, artist, astrologer and Holistic Health Practitioner living in Southern California. She has cast astrological charts and read tarot all over the country, has a small business painting personal mandalas, and obtained a license to handle energy legally. During one of the many dry spells in her professional 22-year acting career, the Harmonic Convergence converged with a significant birthday sending her on the cosmic roller coaster that resulted in this book. Outrageous Detour is the first of three. A trilogy.

I must admit to begin with that I know Lindy Ann Nisbet personally and originally bought the book because I know what kind of person she is and I wanted to support her. Then I sat down to read the book and a whole new vista opened to me.
Let's get the trivialities out of the way first. It's obvious from her meticulous adherence to dialectic detail that Lindy is an actress and is used to reading, and probably writing, scripts. She has a way of phonetically spelling different accents that lets you see them and know exactly how the person sounds and her character descriptions actually let you see the person.
Now for the hard part. Lulu and her friends deal with a number of extremely serious and complex subjects that are having an major impact on us as people and on our planet. It is a running statement of what we are doing to ourselves and our world with some guideposts as to how we can move away from these destructive behaviors. These crises are real and growing in severity every minute and Lulu and her friends growing awareness of and ever maturing reaction to them is refreshing.
Outrageous Detour delivers everything it promises; "cosmic convergences, psychic pops and spiritual sojourns all wrapped up in a funny, sexy, enternaining book." I am on my third read through, this time with a hiliter so I can begin to piece together the lessons hidden inside. I am definitely ready to see Lindy's next two books in her trilogy come out.

Lindy Anne Nisbet captured my attention and my heart, right from the first page! This fast paced and easy reading book, which was packed with humor, wit, and spiritaul awakening, took me on the "Outrageous Detour" along with the other adventurers, all the way to Machu Picchu! She wrote this book in such a way as to let the reader get a full picture of the characters, their totally different personalities, including their accents, and all along this whimsical journey, I felt as though I was there with them. There was humor, wit, crazy adventure, sex and fun all rolled into a great story and I didn't want it to end because while reading it, the nine tour members became my daily companions. I have already recommended "Outrageous Detour" to my friends, and I hope the rest of the trilogy is not far behind.

I enjoyed everything about this book -- it is a very quick and easy read packed with detail and a great plot. Being able to understand who the characters are and the dynamics of the setting is very important to this book reviewer. Lindy Anne Nisbet pulled this off very well right down to the specific dialects. Not only could you, as a reader, experience the setting in your visual mind, but you could also hear the conversations as they were written.
Finding time to read this book wasn't an issue because I couldn't put it down. Everything from the humor to the spiritual experiences kept me both interested and entertained. I did, however, set this book free per request . . . so I MUST buy a copy of my own now!!

Deftly written with a blend of comedic, spiritual, and sensual prose, Outrageous Detour is an engaging and highly recommended walk on the wild side which will have special appeal to dedicated science fiction enthusiasts.
