Oxford Preparation Course for the TOEFL iBT Exam is a communicative, theme-based approach to learning the skills needed to take the TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT). Activities incorporate thorough explanation and practice of the four skills tested on the TOEFL. This multimedia program integrates the student book, audio CD, DVD, and interactive website. 1. All the listening transcripts are available free online at http://www.eltexamprep.com/
2. All the practice tests and material that would be on a CD-ROM are available on the same website accessed with an unlock code that comes free with every book.
3. The website is market tested and relatively straight forward to use with additional support available if needed.

About the Author
Susan Bates has over 30 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language, many of these spent teaching TOEFL classes to multi-level classes of international students at Vancouver Community College. In developing, Oxford Preparation Course for the TOEFL iBT Exam Susan worked with her students over a period of five years to field test, revise, and refine the book many times over. This is the Susan's fifth publication. Her first four books form part of the Amazing! series, basedupon newspaper stories for beginners and intermediates.

Great content, but not really useable,

The is a well organized book with lots of great ideas and material, but it has a fatal flaw: their are no transcripts of the listening material (which including the speaking and writing parts is over 50% of the test), and their is no CD-ROM or Audio with the book. So basically, you cannot study most of the test with this book unless you spend another $100 on the audio CD, and even then you have no transcript.Their is a free registration in an online site, but it is useless. Nothing helpfully really, very hard to use.... just a gimmick. Sad to see a potentially great TOEFL resource fatal wounded by these flaws.
