I have several of OZ's books, and this is great resource book to have with loads of information. I particularly like his assessment of the grape variety using both new and old world styles and aging capacity.

I decided to pick up this book after watching Oz and James's Great Wine Adventure. In that show they go around France and America trying out different wines and providing the viewer with a first class wine education. This book is very detailed and covers all the major and a lot of minor varieties of grapes. In addition, it also gives the reader a list of wineries that excel at making wine out of that type of grape and also has reviews and what to expect from recent vintages. I highly recommend this book and the show!
