I was looking forward to obtaining a book like this that I could use as a "Quick Reference", this will do the job nicely. It is very concise and well laid out. Thanks Christian for such a handy book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent PHP Pocketbook Jan. 4 2013
By webdev - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book seems to cover some good basics, and does so with PHP 5.4 functionality. It would be a great supplemental guide for anyone wanting to brush up on PHP functions fundamentals so as not to rely so much on PHP.net documentation.

My one complaint with this book is the title. This is definately not a MySQL book. Of the 320 pages in this book, only 12 of those pages cover MySQL. In fact, there's exponentially more talk about RDBMS's other than MySQL. 34 pages were dedicated to other random DB systems.

The title is very misleading for anyone hoping to learn/review much MySQL.
