the best cookware - nothing burns, handles easy to use - particularly when heavy weight inside pot - handle does not slip in your hand. I am always adding to this set - saute pans beautiful as well as steamer which fits any pot.

I'm happy I bought these when Amazon had them on sale for 180-something dollars. I have a few complaints though; The handles are uncomfortable to hold, and they especially dig into the hand when holding the pans sideways to pour. Also, they are only a few months old and the bottoms already look quite old and discoloured. The bottom of the pans have those bumpy little ridges too, so that makes them harder to clean than pans with a smooth bottom. This set is also missing some very important items if you are cooking for more than 2 people- a larger frying pan, and larger pot for boiling pasta being the main ones.

Great Pans for the money Feb. 5 2011
By Dixiegalwannabe - Published on Amazon.com
I came across Paderno pans when I lived in Canada where they are produced. The have 2 lines and I have always purchased the heavy duty line - they are nearly comparable to the All Clad line (of which I own a few pieces also). When I purchased them a number of years ago, their hang-tag mentioned that they were used by the chef on Air Force One who I imagine could use any pans he/she desired. I have now owned them for nearly 10 years, use them every day. I scrub them with abrasive cleansers, pass them under the broiler, have burned eggs in them, etc., and they still look nearly new. Amazing the abuse they tolerate. I would highly recommend them as a wedding gift as they will last a lifetime.
A pot to piss in Feb. 21 2012

I returned this product after receiving it as I discovered that there are two "Paderno"s. This one was not the prestigious product that I thought it was. The pans seemed 'cheap' when I unwrapped them. The handles looked like they would fall off within a few uses. Kudos to Amazon for their speedy return and refund process. It was pain free and so much better than spending 4 bucks a gallon on gas to shop at a brick and mortar.
