Do not waste your money on this pan. After ONE use, everything started sticking. I followed the use and care instructions exactly as written. Disappointed, but optimistic that Paderno would stand behind their product, I emailed Paderno customer service. I was given a suggestion to clean the pan with baking soda, and if that didn't work, email them back. It didn't work, and seemed to make things worse. Since then (Six weeks ago) Paderno has claimed they will send UPS to pick up the pan for inspection... despite three emails from me wondering when UPS will be coming, there has been no confirmation or communication about shipping from Paderno.

Do not waste your money. The 25 year warranty is just words, Paderno doesn't act on it.

These pans are wonderful when you first buy them. What a great thing to find a pan that is non-stick but does not have any chemicals!

They come complete with instructions for use. I followed ALL the instructions but I still have a pan I can't use anymore after only 1 1/2 months.

After using this just a short time it began to stain and food sticks. They become harder to clean than the worst pan you've ever owned! The staining is actually food you can't get off.

Contacting Paderno doesn't help. They just tell you to clean it. And that's impossible. Despite soaking the pan for several hours, the stained coating inside the pan does not come off.

I'm a huge fan of Paderno. Really try to buy their product as it is Canadian and I've had success with their product for many years...as well as their customer service. Always fantastic. In the market for a new non-stick frying pan, my husband and I were convinced by the salesperson at the local Paderno store to try the Eco pan. Worst decision ever. We were of the impression (and were told) that this pan was non stick and would simply last longer than any other non stick pan....Paderno, or otherwise. Non stick???? EVERYTHING sticks to this pan! It's awful. We used it at a low heat...as recommended and used non stainless steel utensils....didn't help. I contacted Paderno customer service via email and was basically told that I was using the pan wrong. It's a frying pan.....what am I doing wrong??? What happened to my 25 year warranty??? Shouldn't the fact that it's supposed to be non-stick and it's not suffice? Not according to customer service. We paid over $100 for this thing and it's garbage. So disappointed.

It worked real good as advertised at first. Took extra care but after 4 months or so of uses everything stick to it. I need to use a paste made out of baking powder in order to get it clean. So much for the 25 year warranty! Not recomended!

Have two of these supposedly non-stick pans. My regular metal pans are infinitely less sticky than these things, they are the worst I have ever found.

Worked OK at first but after several uses it developed some discoloration and then everything started to stick to it. You probably couldn't boil water in it without it sticking. I couldn't be bothered with the warranty, instead I just threw it out. Cast iron works much better as a non stick (non PFOA) surface for cooking. So much for technology. Don't waste your money.

Verified Purchase
I purchased this 30 cm pan along with the 25 cm one as I heard that these don't have the harmful chemicals that are released from Teflon coated pans. I also was drawn in by the claims that this ceramic cooking surface was six times stronger than the regular Teflon ones which I usually replace every two years.

So far they have been performing quite well, and I'm very happy with my purchase. They are heavy weight pans so don't let the photos fool you. I do find that the handles are slightly too long and heavy as they tend to tip the pans over a little if they aren't centred on the electrical coils of the stove.

The non-stick qualities are very good. I tried cooking an egg without any oil on this pan, and sure enough it didn't stick. It was easily flipped and scooted around the pan without any oil at all.

I have heard some stories from people saying that the surface peels after one year, but I wonder if they washed these in the dishwasher. Even with the dishwasher safe Telon pans, I find that the extreme hot water temperatures mixed with the detergent tend to damage the cooking surfaces. I wonder if the people who had problems with these pans would have had a different result if they washed them by hand like I do. Oh well, I guess I will be able to tell in a year or two whether these hold up to the manufacturer's claims. They do come with 25 year warranties so that should be reassuring!

Overall I'm quite happy with my pans so far and highly recommend them.

EDIT: Skip ahead to July 2012, and my Eco Pan is sticking to almost everything! The non-stick coating doesn't last very long at all even with limited use and hand washing. The blue coating appears intact, but whatever they used for the non-stick ability quickly fades away.

I'm a bit of a nonstick junkie - I like low-fat cooking and easy cleanup. I've bought a lot of nonstick pans - quite a few varieties of non-teflon ones in recent years. This is the first one that works extremely well and is not fragile. I bought one at Home Hardware on sale, tried it, was so impressed that I got two each 8", 10" and a 12" when they went on sale again.

They are _very_ nonstick. I usually put a tiny dribble of oil in the pan (maybe 1/4 tsp), and spread it out with a bit of paper towel. Eggs, meat, whatever - none of them stick. If you fry something (egg, meat, onions) without any oil, there will be some momentary adhesion, but a normal saute toss of the pan will release.

The coating also appears to be quite tough. At least one other nonstick pan (a Starfrit) was almost as nonstick, but the coating tended to accumulate dings and pits with even careful handling. The GreenPan coating seems tough as well, but is not nearly as nonstick.
