5.0 out of 5 stars I love it! March 4 2014

I have very fine leg hair and it gets it all, I love the light on it so I can see if there's anything I've missed. I do my armpits myself, just have to use a mirror and change directions to get it all. I've bought one for my 14 year old granddaughter after she tried mine and loved it. The foot attachment is genius. As far as the bikini area goes, I'll never wax again and wish I'd been doing this since I was a kid. I highly recommend it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but there's better Jan. 14 2014

I thought I might have found the perfect epilator but alas it's not the case. It works better than most in the shower but it doesn't work great as a dry epilator. The foot attachment is amazing though.

I got a cheaper epilator that I think I'll stick to since it works better for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hurts so Good Dec 14 2013
By Brandy - Published on Amazon.com

Why I Purchased this Product:

I have fair skin and dark hair. I can shave and feel stubble only a few hours later. I wanted to try something that would keep my skin smoother, longer. I have never used an epilator before this. I did a ton of research and found the Panasonic ES-ED90-P Ladies Wet and Dry Epilator/Shaver best suited my needs.

My First Experience with this Product:

First off, I am a big wuss. I was both curious and terrified. I have dark coarse hair and I'm pretty sure the roots wrap around my spine. I started off with my lower legs. The first stroke of the epilator had me rethinking the whole ordeal. I seriously debated leaving all of my body hair and growing my own granola. As much as I admire the crunchy gals, I wasn't quite ready for such a drastic lifestyle change.

I decided to suck it up and see this epilating experience through. By suck it up, I mean, I downed a shot of one hundred proof vodka and gave my legs a second go. The pain lessens as you go over the area a few more times. I found that by using the beginners cap first, then following up with the regular cap, I was able to get my legs smooth with a less painful experience.

By this point, I was feeling more than a little giddy. I moved on to my bikini area. My husband saw the drunken crazy gleam in my eye and suggested I only trim around the edges and save the rest for another day. Good call, honey.

My favorite use for the epilator has to be my underarms. I love the way they look and feel. I could never get my underarms this smooth with a razor. I found that a little body powder applied to my arm pits beforehand, keeps the area dry and hair removal is easier. It is a little awkward trying to hold the skin taut and work the epilator. Lucky for me, my husband is willing to do this area for me. I pretend I don't see the flicker of joy in his eyes when the epilator jerks out a particularly stubborn hair causing me to get creative with my vocabulary.

The Aftermath:

I did notice little red dots all over my legs. I applied Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion with natural colloidal oatmeal. This soothed my legs and cleared the spots right up. There are lots of more expensive products made just for this purpose. I have not tried them as of yet.

I had a few issues with ingrown hairs as the hair grew back. I use Earth Therapeutics Hydro Exfoliating Gloves and with my regular body wash in between epilating. This seems to solve that problem plus it leaves my whole body feeling smooth. They are also available on Amazon and I highly recommend them.

Overall, I love the Panasonic ES-ED90-P Ladies Wet and Dry Epilator/Shaver. I haven’t completely retired my razor, but that is because I get a little lazy with the upkeep. I haven’t regretted my purchase for even a minute.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most effective and pain-free of all the epilators I've tried Sept. 28 2013
By Dr. M. A. Dixon - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product
I've been using epilators for 40 years and the Panasonic ES-ED90-P Ladies Wet and Dry Epilator/Shaver requires the fewest passes to make me hairless while at the same time being the most painfree. I have very sensitive skin and immune system, and other epilators often leave little red marks from the assault of how the hairs were removed. But not with the Panasonic ES-ED90-P; I did not get one red mark. This kit comes with a pouch to keep all the attachments in which includes a fast cap, gentle cap, underarms/bikini-line cap, shaver head, epilation for legs/arms, foot care head and protection caps for the attachments that need it. I really love the foot care head which files away callouses more gently yet effectively than foot files and pumice stones. I did not know that epilation systems could be this good; I just can't recommend this Panasonic ES-ED90-P system enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Although a bit overwhelming at first, and not perfect, still the best epilator I've owned. Oct. 28 2013
By ccincalif - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product
This is bit of a tough review for me as there are so many things I love about this product, but as I said in the title, it's not perfect, and there are some things I don't like. So let me list everything to make it easier.

1. The maing thing I like is that the epilator works better than any other I've owned, and I've had about 4 different brands. This one is the least painful and works the best, so that's a huge PLUS in my book.
2. I like the options of the different attachments, especially the foot care attachment! It also works fantastically!
3. I really, really like that it is cordless. I've never had a cordless epilator before and it's so much easier to use.
4. Although it's not for me, the fact that I can use the shaver in the shower, is definitely a good thing for those who do.
5. Stays charged for a long time without having for be recharged often.

1. The bikini attachment is uselss; just doesn't work.
2. Initially, it's a bit overwhelming to have so many attachments! You really have to do your homework to use it.
3. The foot care head's file needs to be replaced. Supposedly about once a year, if used 10x/year.

Overall, I would recommend this product as the good points far outweigh the negatives. It feels good in your hand, isn't too bulky or heavy and like I said, I've owned many epilators and this one is the best yet. Great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Blows the Emjoi Emagine out of the water! Nov. 16 2013
By Minimalist who hates shopping - Published on Amazon.com

I've had the purple cordless Emjoi Emagine for a year and I thought I liked it pretty well. I bought this Panasonic model because I was interested in the option to epilate in the shower and was also intrigued by the pumice (foot buffing) attachment. Here are my first impressions (and I'll update the review if these impressions change):
-My legs are much smoother with this epilator than the Emjoi Emagine. With the Emjoi, my legs just don't feel smooth, ever. But this Panasonic left my legs "date night" smooth (ha!) when I epilated dry (clean skin with no lotion applied).
-The results were not as good when I epilated wet (with shower gel on the head, as instructions indicate). I did one leg dry and one leg wet and the wet-epilated leg is not as smooth as the dry-epilated leg. It is about as smooth as the Emjoi would get it. -Some people seem to think that epilating wet is less painful but I did not find this to be the case.
-The pumice function is awesome! I've never had a rotary-style foot buffer and now I realize what I've been missing. I do a terrible job with a simple "pumice stone on a handle" and usually end up taking off too much skin, and in the wrong places too. With the pumice attachment, it seems to work well to use your ears to listen for when you are going over a rough spot (which helps you take off only the parts that need buffing). I don't get the sense that the little pumice wheel lasts very long (will need a replacement pumice soon) but I felt that with about 7 minutes per foot I removed 2 summers' worth of callousesr.
-Underarm attachment is great. Did not pinch my skin at all like the Emjoi sometimes does.
-Does not hurt any more or less than the Emjoi. This epilating process involves zappy little tingles which I find to be quite tolerable. The Emjoi sounds louder and more machine-like in my opinion (which might make some women feel self-conscious I suppose, if they are in that phase of a relationship where they feel the need to appear delicate and ladylike all the time). The sound of the Emjoi would definitely invite jokes about weedwhacking and inquiries like, "what the heck are you doing in there?")
-The skin on my legs is supersensitive and I find both the Emjoi and the Panasonic tolerable dry. My skin did not like the wet epilation with the Panasonic. I got little bumps that feel "hot" and I feel like it's taking a while (a couple hours) for the skin to get back to normal. This never happens when I epilate dry with very gentle pressure.
-The Panasonic is WAY better on knees and ankles and shins due to the flexible angling of the dual heads (kind of like how those Venus shavers flex to match the shape of your knee). With the Emjoi, you have to get the angle just right or you end up sort of "missing" your skin/hair. I feel like this wastes time.
-The Panasonic's light is GREAT. Perhaps that's one reason I was able to get my legs smoother.

All in all, I think this will become a top seller soon, due to the versatility, having more/better attachments than either the Emjoi or Phillips comparable models.

I think they both would be better without the bold colors, but that's just personal preference. I would prefer silver or plain black myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great all in one Sept. 28 2013

Vine Customer Review of Free Product
I had picked this up for my mom to use, but I decided to try it myself first. I used to easily remove the dry, calloused skin from my heals forward. It worked very well. I then gave it to my mom to try, she was a little worried, she had never tried epilating. Well it was easy and she loved the results. This is a great all around shaver for ladies. She used the shaving head for under her arms said it worked well also. This thing is quiet too! I really liked as well as my mother. We could not recommend it more. Sometimes you do get what you pay for as it's not cheap to buy, but it's a quality product!
