It does what it says. I got this to replace a very old VTech phone, which let me down the one time I had to teleconference while working from home. I haven't had problems, but you have to be aware that the bluetooth feature isn't all that useful. Bluetooth connectivity is with the base station only, not the satellite phones. So it doesn't matter that your phone is right next to a satellite, you need it within 10 meters of the base station. You can pair only two devices, but you can download their phonebooks into the base station. This makes them accessible from all handsets!

Range is spectacular: I can use my phones from more than 10 meters of walls and girders and masonry away. Oh yeah, it talks: if you have visual callerID, it will speak out the name of the person. This is not useful for me and I can't turn it off.

By and large, I am quite pleased.

UPDATE: A year later, it is still working, and it is still working well. The Bluetooth feature is now useful to me since I found a way to leave my phone near the base station, and the annoying talking Caller ID is finally OFF. It can be turned off, but the phone menus are complex and somewhat confusing. I find my biggest gripe with this unit now is that it doesn't take a second PSTN line, and I can't register a second base station to do the job. *sigh*

We bought this expecting that the range would be excellent. Instead, its range is less than a much cheaper system it is replacing. Perhaps we should have had a clue when the paperwork included an ad for a range extender that costs an additional $30. Guess we'll have to bite the bullet, but that is a big disappointment. Otherwise, a good product, although a light to indicate voice mail was also part of our older, cheaper system but not this one. Think I may be talking myself into a lower rating for this product!!

I am able to pair it with iPhone 5C and Note II.

If you spend a lot of time talking on the mobile phone, this is a phone that you need to have. You can leave the mobile phone on the charger and use the panasonic to make/receive a call.

So far the feature that I like:
1. Sync phone book
Just take note if you have 500++ names, it will take a while to sync

2. Mute /unmute is easy with dedicated button
3. I like the AAA battery

Cons:
1. Searching for the phone book can only use the first character then you need to up and down until you found the right person.
I wish they could allow us to search

2. Only for mobile phone, so dont expect other apps with "voice" capability works e.g. bb wifi calling, etc
