Product Description

From Amazon

Well designed and clearly written, Paper Plus explains how to recycle ordinary household paper into works of art. The first half demonstrates the basics of papermaking itself, and in addition to using the standard deckle and mold it also covers hand-casting and dip sculpting and provides recipes for 10 different, beautiful types of handmade paper (flecked, mottled, confetti, and others). Scattered throughout this section are terrific "hot tips," such as adding lavender seeds that will release an aroma when the finished paper is torn. The second half is devoted to more than 30 lovely projects utilizing the papers, including note cards, bookmarks, ornaments, jewelry, a lampshade, and a dream catcher.

This is a great book for beginners - it makes paper making seem easy enough for the novice to achieve professional results. The best part are the interesting, unusual projects--not the same old thing you often see in other craft books.

This book is one of my back burner projects. This means I plan on using it. I make paper with my class every year and I am very excited to try the paper recipes included in the book, specially the iris leaves paper and the crayon shaving paper.
