Scared the heck out of me...,

I watched this one not knowing what to expect. I had heard good things and bad things from people who had seen it, and I decided to watch it for myself in order to make my own decision.
The whole movie is filmed in the style of "The Blair Witch Project", where the action is caught on a handheld camera. The movie follows a couple who believe that they are being haunted by some kind of spirit or ghost, so they set up a video camera to catch what's happening. Close to the beginning they consult a psychic, and after his visit the eerie occurences seem to escalate. Quite simply, this movie scared the heck out of me. In the beginning the eerie occurences are subtle and not that frightening, but it is paving the way for the really scary stuff to happen. Things start to escalate about one third of the way through the movie, and then the scary scenes are in abundance. The night that I first watched this, I couldn't sleep because I couldn't stop picturing all of the scariest parts of the movie. Do yourself a favour though- skip the alternate ending. The theatrical ending is far better, and ten times scarier.

Vraiment très bien! Le film est simple, mais intense. Le début est un peu lent, mais plus le film avance, plus c'est bon et épeurant.
Pourtant on ne voit jamais rien, c'est l'habiance et les sons qui font tout le travail. À voir pour les fans de Blair witch project et à découvrir pour les autres. L'édition spéciale contient une fin alternative, un t-shirt (grandeur large), sur le t-shirt , en avant, on peut voir le titre du film en rouge avec un objectif de caméra et derrière le numéro de série de l'édition limitée. Pour ce qui est du morceau de la bobine de film, il est présenté dans un petit carton.

For the average movie goer! Film fans beware!,

As a horror fan and collector I am quite overwhelmed by the popularity of this film. If you are going to view this seriously as a horror film I would suggest skipping this. There are attempts at suspense and scares but they all fall flat and are ripped off some of the best horror films. The characters are whiny, unrealistic, and downright laughable. I couldn't care less about what happened to them and there stupidity rivalled that of the script writer. Just because a film is independent, does not excuse it from having a horrible script. The pace is slow while trying to build some suspense, seemingly ending abruptly with a rushed ending. If this film was made 10 years ago, maybe the sheep wouldn't be blinded by the polish. On the other hand if you are the average movie goer with no real interest in film, this movie is just fine to see as a social get together. The only thing I can applaud is the brilliant marketing of this film. If only real filmmakers got this kind of marketing campaigns for there films. Anyone interested in viewing some real horror films I suggest learning to like reading subtitles because in europe the filmmakers are more talented and creatively in control of there movies.
