As a novice french fashion doll collector, I found this book to be very helpful. I learned about the different types of fashion dolls and what to look for before I buy one. It also gives great detail on the dolls accessories, especially their dresses. I also like the fact that this book contains patterns of original french fashion gowns so you could make your own reproduction of the real thing.

I can't say enough about this book. I sew for an antique doll shop and this book gave me many ideas and patterns. I haven't tried to make the dresses yet, but intend to. The historical notes in this book alone make it worth buying. In addition, it has detailed, close-up, in color photos of dolls that most people are not priveleged to see.This is a wonderful book for anyone into fashion, history, or dolls.

It is a very good book. I saw it by an visit to a friend and decided that I have to purchase it. I was told that it was possible to purchase it on the net. Everything vent fast and OK.
