Park & Sun VN-2 Volleyball Net

I was trying to replace the net for a Park & Sun Volleyball set that I'd had for years... I forget what they called it when I bought it but it's the same as what they now call the "Park & Sun Player III" system, you can find it at Dick's for over $100. I love this system because the octagonal PVC poles are extremely durable and can be adjusted to many different heights including regulation volleyball. The net of course fell apart after many years of hot sun, but the pole system is still great. (The yellow stake cord alway rotted away too but equivalent stuff is readily available at the home centers for just a couple of dollars.)
I tried to find the same net which had loops that went around the poles. I even called Park & Sun but they wanted some ridiculous amount for shipping... and I wasn't going to buy some cheapy Fr*nkl*n system some of the local sports stores sell.
Locally nobody deals with replacement nets. I was a little worried that this net would not work well since it didn't have the loops. In fact, it's even nice than the original! This net has a nylon cord that goes through the top edge of the net which the original did not have that. It's nylon cord rather than a metal cable like the higher-end nets, but works perfectly to enable the net to be pulled nice and taught once everything else is set up and secured, without having to move the poles or pull them at weird angles.
So for $26.99 including tax (free shipping) this was less than 1/2 of the best price I could find on the original system and actually gave me a much better system. This is the second summer I've had it and I love it.
One tip which might help other people: I have hard rocky ground, so I cut some short sleeves of my own round PVC which happens to be the perfect diameter for these PVC posts to fit into (I think it's 2 1/2"). The sleeves are only about 4 inches, but I've had them in the ground for a couple of years now and it works great, otherwise the poles just don't stay up no matter how I stake them.

The net is perfect for your average players, not to expensive and good quality. I would purchase again. I recommend this net for anyone who just wants to hang with friends and have a good time in the backyard or beach.
