Dedicated government employee Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler, Saturday Night Live) and her fellow colleagues return for big laughs from the small town of Pawnee, Indiana, in the hilarious third season of Parks and Recreation. Their funny antics continue as they ramp up for their most important civic project yet: The Harvest Festival. As Leslie plans, prepares and publicizes, her co-workers take on other challenges such as a crippling flu, the statewide softball tournament and the sad demise of a local icon: a miniature house named Li’l Sebastian. Created by Greg Daniels (The Office, The Simpsons) and Michael Schur (The Office, Saturday Night Live) and featuring phenomenal guest stars, such as Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) and Will Forte (Saturday Night Live), Parks and Recreation is being hailed as, “The smartest comedy on TV.” (Entertainment Weekly)

Parks and Recreation is, of course, a comedy about the bumbling exploits of the office staff of the Parks Department of a fictional town in Indiana. What makes it special though is the development of the core group of characters, played by an exceptionally talented cast. Whether we are laughing at them or laughing with them, characters like the unconquerable Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), the stoic Jerry Gergich (Jim O'Heir) or the irresistibly lovely Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones) are people we come to care about. They are endearing because each in some way brings to life something that, however nutty, rings true about our own lives and the people we know.
While it is not essential to have watched Parks and Recreation from the beginning to enjoy it. It will be much more enjoyable if you have followed the characters from their introduction in Parks and Recreation: Season One.
I loved the office, and when it looked like that show was dying out i found parks and rec. In many ways the office has rejuvinated itself this season, but parks and recreation is king. Better than community,Big Bang, 30 rock or any other. Ive watched them all, this is the best. buy it.
