Love affair with India.,
By
This review is from: A Passage to India [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I remember this movie from years ago for the beauty of the photography and the culture clash of India and Imperialist Great Britain. Interesting insight into Indian culture. Beautiful scenery of Kashmir. It shows the arrogant attitude among most of the British "rulers" and the impetus for Indians to become independent. To my point of view, the Indian people came out looking much more civil in many ways than the supposedly superior British. The Indian doctor was a very good man who was treated terribly but came out with more dignity and character than anyone else. If you liked Gandhi you might enjoy this as well.

Excellent Film,
This review is from: A Passage to India (Collector's Edition, 2 discs) Bilingual (DVD)
Beautiful scenery, well acted and produced.Another story of India just before independence from England. Shows India as it was in the last days of the British occupation. A fine commentary on how many Brit's treated Indian's unfairly with their "better than thou" attitude. This was the first time I had seen "Passage to India" in wide screen and it certainly made a difference.A Passage to India
