About the Author
Paul Alofs is an award-winning senior executive who has achieved success in the retail, entertainment, Internet, marketing services, and social enterprise sectors. His work experience includes General Manager of the 500 North American Disney stores, President of BMG Music Canada, and President of HMV Music Stores Canada. Since 2003, he has been CEO of The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and has helped raise over $550 million for one of the world’s top five cancer research centres.

This is not a CEO vanity project. It's a labour of love, yes a two-year product of passion from a man who made an actual mark in massive tectonic industries like retail, music and the technology of the internet. I have worked for charities my entire career and I love that he is helping to rebrand the sleepy moniker "nonprofit" to the more dynamic and real "social-profit".
This is not about good to great, it's about great to BEST. I love the many stories he tells in this book. Practical stories of winners, failures - why they won and lost. Edison, JK Rowling were bad bets - This is a book dedicated to the strategic, faithful long-view unlike the short-sell attitude that just recently broke the world.
The author celebrates and explains why it's not just about "people" but the marks of passionate organizations, who respect the components of excellence: Creed, culture, courage, brand, resources, strategy, persistence.
Paul and some fine business-type folks have teamed up to celebrate Canada's Passion Capitalists - Buy the book, read and nominate!

This book was an Easy, Feel good, Positive read with simple proven principles defining our most important asset of our time, Passion Capital. It made me realize that the most successful people in our world have this!!! It's a Corporate manual, a Student Manual and a Parenting Manual WOW!!! A book about our PASSION in life is so needed. Thanks Paul Alofs.

This is such an incredible read. It really makes you feel differently on how true success is accomplished and sustained. This is way more than another feel good book. It is a blue print for individuals and companies who want to understand how to put their passion to work. I am a baby boomer and I loved the book but importantly, I want all of my university age kids to read this. When they graduate they will have a degree and their Passion Capital. Love the stories!
