Eminently approachable book on quilting April 6 2008
By K. Sanders - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I found this book homey, and much more approachable to the intimidated quilter [me!]than many of the books written in this country. (It was 1st published in Norway). I found it comfortable, and causual in approach--the author cheefully uses checks, plaids, calicos, and remnants from used clothes, encourages the making of "jags" (instead of "diamonds"), doesn't seem to worry about blocks, and offers a wide variety of smaller projects for the beginner. While you might want to have other books on hand for some of the techniques used (if you're a nervous Nellie like me), this book has a lot of usable projects. I (happily) have finished several!

GOOD BOOK FOR INTERMEDIATE QUILTERS Feb. 12 2008
By K. Dillon - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book would be good for intermediate level quilters although more skilled might appreciate some od the projects as well. I thought perhaps it might make a good gift or give good ideas to make as gifts for others.
