I really like this album. I've been listening to electronic/new age/ambient music since the seventies, but got away from it in the last few years. Recently I decided to get back into it, and started buying new releases in this genre. So far, I'm kind of neutral about my recent purchases. This is an exception. I was surprised how much I like this, much more than Craig Padilla's other albums. This is a mellow album, that flows well. The songs are somewhat spacey, without being extremely so. There is also enough of a melodic hook to keep you interested. In many ways, this music reminds me of Jonn Serrie's early works-there is *texture* to this. The first time I played Path of Least Resistance, I tried to read. Every few minutes I had to put the book down and just listen. My favorite song is the first one, and that alone is worth the price of admission. I highly recommend this album.
Follow-up: I've grown to appreciate this album even more as time goes by. I'd give it 5 stars, but I can't change the rating.

true ambient, Aug 2 2008

Hinting at times to a more modern Tangerine Dream, and at other times something deep and spacey like Jonah Sharp's "Visitation", this album makes for one ambient trip. Deep space synth and some flute to boot. Very chill.
