While the bulk of this book is devoted to new equipment for adventurers to use there are also some surprisingly neat ideas here.
There is a new type of Feat, an interesting array of Holy Items that provide new uses for a Divine Character's Channel energy, Ideas on Using Alchemical Items to enhance your Spell casting, an entertaining new NPC,and some ways to add some character traits dealing specifically with equipment.
There are a few things I wish the book had expanded on a bit more but there is more than enough room for a creative DM to take some of these ideas and run with them.
The stuff here will work equally well for 3.5 D&D as it will for the Pathfinder system and it's well worth the price.

This is kind of a time saver more than providing anything usefully new. It's more or less a central one-stop list for all the gear, alchemical items and other items to save you from flipping around in the various books they might be in. Useful, but I think Paizo should offer this one in pdf only that is updated regularly as they put out more books with equipment in it. At least that you can print up the price list only. With this it's just another book you have to carry around and make sure you have back in your bag at the end of the night.

Deception - I received it as a gift from someone, but sadly it's just a cash-grab.
Information in it is good, some illustrations here and there. But it's lacking. The ''book'' 's really thin too.
I feed upon loads of informations as inspiration also. Do the Math:
15$ for 20~30p / or / 35$ for 300+p ?
Choice isn't hard. You don't need this.
Chances are you (as a DM) already can design something similar without paying bucks for holding your hands for 5 mins.

Though directly in line with Paizo's usual high production quality, this booklet fails to deliver the content. This product feels like it should have been a free pdf online or simply added into one of the core books, rather than a separate, meagre supplement. There are a few neat things inside, but it is not good value.
