“The clash of modern and classical worlds is both exciting and entertaining.” —The New York Times Book Review ?
”Riordan masterfully orchestrates the huge cast of characters and manages a coherent, powerful tale at once exciting, philosophical and tear-jerking. The best-selling series’ legions of fans will cheer their heroes on and rejoice in such a compelling conclusion to the saga.”— Kirkus Reviews (starred review) ?
All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of victory are grim. Kronos’s army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan’s power only grows. While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it’s up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.
In this momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy’s sixteenth birthday unfolds. And as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate.

Lot of fun!,
This review is from: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book Five: The Last Olympian (Hardcover)
Best book of the series - it's fast paced and exciting. Percy is aided in his quest to save the gods of Olympus by Annabeth, the daughter of Athena, Grover, the satyr, as well as many other sons and daughters of the gods. Their travels and adventures take them to the Underworld, across the Sea of Monsters, and through the Labyrinth, all the while facing monsters and characters from ancient mythology. Riordan's characters are well crafted and likable, witty and quirky and they are again here in Last Olympian.Another great fantasy book I'd recommend is: Godstone - The Kairos Boxes

Excellent, Amazing, Superb... are just a few words that begin to describe this book. The perfectly paced story pulls you in and prevents you from leaving the book until the last word is read.I remember, the day this book came out, I stayed up all night just to read it! Even after I finished reading this extraordinary novel, I went back to read it again, because I just could not get enough of the book. Last week, I just finished my 6th read through. Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian takes you through the last weeks of Percy's hectic 15th year where he has to answer the horrible prophecy bound to his name. Without giving out the spoilers, let's just say that each page is expertly written with all the twists and turns that go with it. All in all, Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian is a phenomenal ending to the `'5 star'' Percy Jackson series. And I cannot stress how much I recommend that you pick this book up as soon as you can.
