5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, with likeable hero and heroine, Jan 26 2003
By Cilla - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Perilous Journey (Paperback)
I can't get into a book if I don't like the hero and heroine. This book satisfied me because I liked the characters of the loving couple, and of the heroine's twin brother(I hope he gets a book of his own some day!) It was a "road" book, as the hero and the heroine's brother help the heroine run away from her guardian, who has arranged an unwanted marriage for her. The adventure was run, and I liked the sense of fun the that heroine exhibited, taking a lot in her stride. There was an definite sizzle of physical attraction between the couple(Lord Brinton was a hero to die for!), but the romance went deeper than that. They liked each other, as well as loved each other. The villain turned out not to be so terribly villainous, and the unwanted bridegroom wasn't so bad either after all, so it wasn't too melodramatic. This is definitely going on my "keeper" shelf.
