More helpful than I thought it would be Nov. 1 2011
By Susan Franzblau - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I admit to being a Vera Nazarian fan, so I was predisposed to like this. But it has the one element that Vera does better than anyone -- she makes you think and it, yes, inspires you to think positively and hopefully. I jumped to my birthday (of course) and it was exactly what I needed to hear:

The last several years of financial, emotional and motivational turmoil have been incredibly challenging and tough in so many ways, which of course makes it very difficult to be creative. And at such a time, being creative is the one thing we have to be.
Almost requires a person to be superhuman to do it all.
You know what? Many of us are. What we do every day in order to pursue our dreams and at the same time hang in there and keep a roof over our heads and food in our bellies, is amazing. At one time or another, most of us are fulltime laborers, professionals, homemakers, nurturers, teachers, healers, inventors, providers, creators of artistic beauty, urban jungle warriors, saviors of the universe and everything else--all crammed into one person.
This really is the age of the super being. No wonder media supernatural heroes are so blazing-hot right now.
The world requires it.

This is my life and very possibly your life too. Look at today's inscription, your birthday, your children's birthdays. They are always right. My niece and her relationship with meditation, my nephew and his true innocence. How she does it, I don't know.

Thoughtful Nov. 3 2011
By Jeffry Dwight - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I read many of these as they were originally published. Vera Nazarian has a unique mind -- she sees things from angles that are often invisible until she makes her observation, after which one wonders how those perspectives were overlooked.

In these pages, you will find things to make you think, to motivate you, and to inspire you. Wisdom and profundity are what you make of them. Even if you disagree with Nazarian's observations, you cannot help but find something worth examining. If you are looking for an interesting way to start each morning, you could do much worse than this little book
