Personal Transformation March 1 2006
By Gregory Brown - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Mr. Sokoloff's "Personal Transformation" is a highly readable, brutally honest account of one man's journey toward complete deafness. What it does to him, how he deals with it and eventually how he triumphs over it's consequences makes for a very inspiring story that leaves anyone confronting adversity in their life with a tremendous sense of possibility. A beautiful story that could be so helpful to so many.

A thoughtful view on how to think about what we do with our lives. Sept. 8 2005
By Rocky Mountain Reader - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Kiril Sokoloff is a rare individual with great insights in the worlds of both Wall Street and human emotions and spirituality. When he was faced with the progression of his deafness he found it a source of personal growth instead of becoming more angry and sad and alone. The lesson in the book is how he did this.

A Powerful Tome. Should be read by everyone March 4 2006
By Barrant V. Merrill - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Kiril Sokoloff's Powerful story of his life and the tribulations he has gone through to achieve peace with himself, is one of the most awsome books I have ever read.

It should be required reading for anyone looking for more meaning in his life, I for one am sending it to my four children.

It can not fail to help anyone who is fortunate enough to read it.

What a terrific and inspiring experience!

Honest and inspiring Feb. 20 2006
By M. Watt - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Mr. Sokoloff's book was rigorously honest, inspiring and at times terrribly sad. I was inspired by Kiril's courage as his hearing decreased. He did not wallow in self pity, he overcame his disability and achieved great success. His candor regarding his painful divorce and coming home to a dark, empty house at the end of the day was moving.

The past few years I have read many stories of corporate executives taking advantage of their power and stealing from the companies they are entrusted with. Kiril's dedication to integrity, honesty and compassion helps restore my faith in the corporate world.

After reading this book I wanted to learn more about Kiril. My research found he is genuine in his message of courage and compassion. Not only is he a supporter and close friend of The Dalai Lama he is a founder and board member of The Idaho Compassion Foundation that supports affordable housing for teachers and educators in Sun Valley area.

Thanks for the inspiration Kiril.

Like a One-Way Mirror Feb. 26 2006
By Robert McTamaney - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
"Personal Transformation," especially for this reader with a close relative who has lived most of her life deaf, was a revelation, as Kiril Sokoloff opened this world for the first time to those of us who never before understood what it could ever be like simply not to hear. Also knowing that the author is among the premier financial analysts in the history of modern business makes it all the more remarkable. How on earth did he do that? This book tells us how. Mr. Sokoloff loves quotes, and this book reminded me of what Alistair Cooke said about Edward VIII -- that he was "at his best only when the going was easy." To do what Sokoloff has done, under his circumstances, when the going was anything but easy, is an inspiration in a time when there are very few inspirations around.

Mr. Sokoloff should be very proud of himself.
