Watch the movie and then buy this CD. You'll know what I mean.
It is good for the health to be young at heart.

Listening to this cd, watch the film...enjoy it then when doing something like tidying your room, slap it on. You'll find-and i can guarentee this-that during a certain song reprisal, you'll stop and tears will come to your eyes and you'll wish you were a child again. That song is of course 'You Can Fly', it makes my cry, escpecially what happened to Bobby Driscoll.

As a lover of Peter Pan, this CD was a wonderful addition to my collection. The songs are just wonderufl, and the instrumental music is great to hear when you've seen the movie, or even when you haven't! For anyone who is still yearning to let out their inner child, this is the CD for you!

Brings back dear memories Sept. 17 2005

I love the music to Disney's Peter Pan! The one that tugs at the heart the most for me would have to be "The Second Star to the Right." The harmonies and the certain style of the music just gets me teary. The rest of the songs are quite enjoyable too!

Second star to the right - and straight on till morning! Fantastic score Feb. 11 2012
By langleybcguy - Published on Amazon.com

As usual, the score for Disney's 'Peter Pan' measures up to the high standard Walt set for his music & songs. This one took things in a little different direction than the scores of 'Sleeping Beauty', 'Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs', or even 'Bambi'; it concentrates more on the lively melodies & songs and lacks the dark, sinister undertones & notes prevalent in the other films. This may be because different composers were running things in this film.

The songs are the usual lively melodies; 'You Can Fly', 'The Elegant Captain Hook', and 'What Made the Red Man Red' (my personal favorite; this one features a great melody using bongo drums in tradition of a native ceremony), are all great fun. The orchestral score is great as well; it follows the action closely. The only melody I would have liked to heard a bit more of is 'The Legend of the Croc', when Captain Hook is telling how he lost his hand to the crocodile and it's followed him ever since; it has a great bassoon & percussion cue that could have been expanded upon (I remember hearing it at the 'Peter Pan's Flight' ride in Disneyland).

Still great fun; a solid score that belongs in any Disney fan's collection.

the songs warm your heart. They bring back memories of a time once forgotten, hidden beneath sad thoughts. Yet, once you listen to these songs, you forget all your sadness.
