I bought this book for my nephew's birthday. To say the least he loved the stories and has prompted his imaginative and creative abilities....he wants more of these books. The illustrations he thinks are cute and laughable! . Beatrix Potter has always been one of my favorite authors as a child and from my nephew's reaction it seems as though it will be a favorite of children of all ages. This books is great for kids and is quite easy to read and understand. It is also quite affordable to buy the lot. I am about to order another of these books. Thanks

Outstanding! This book has some of the best, well thought out children's tales involving animals. The illustrations are cute and descriptive, and the stories are worded with such intelligence that it makes them very thought provoking for young readers. I would come to expect nothing less from Beatrix Potter. What really makes this book such a steal is that it is only $2! If you have a young child, it would be a shame not to get this book. With 3 of the tales in the book containing the ever lovable Peter Rabbit, this book would make a nice affordable Easter gift.
This book's illustrations are in black and white, not color like some of the other Potter editions. This hardly makes any dent in it's worth.
My only regret is that it doesn't have one of my favorite Beatrix Potter books: The Tale of Mr. Tod The Tale of Mr. Tod in it. Which I recommend.

I love the Beatrix Potter stories. With the beautiful cover, I expected her lovely illustrations, but there are only a few black and white sketches. And very difficult to pick out your story. When you finish one you have to scroll backwards to the contents again. For the price I expected more.
