The first three books in the Peter and the Starcatchers series tell the story of a young orphan named Peter and how he became the forever-young boy from J. M. Barrie’s classic novel. Pirates, sea battles, starstuff, flying camels, treacherous villains, and intrepid heroes make for an incredible adventure that is impossible to put down. Readers will be rooted to their chairs from the first page of Peter and the Starcatchers to the last page of Peter and the Secret of Rundoon. And once they finish, fans will be chomping at the bit for the fourth novel, Peter and the Sword of Mercy, which hits shelves just a month later.

This review is from: Peter and the Starcatchers: The Starcatchers Series Books 1-3: Paperback Box Set (Paperback)
My family and I have listened to the audio books and we were totally captivated by the stories. They are superbly well crafted. Dave Barry is a masterful story teller and Jim Dale is a masterful narrator. We found ourselves completely drawn into the stories. This is great to read or listen to with your kids. My husband and I are well educated people who never would've thought this would be good. My hats off to you Dave Barry.I hope you just start the first book and you will be hooked. Highly recommended.

I can't comment on the books themselves except to say they appear to be approved and distributed by disney. This is a great value done up in a box and plastic wrap. At the books stores these usually sell for $10 + per book. Great price, great value, great gift, and great packaging. If you are looking for a gift for that younger 9-14 age range who like series and already has everything this might be one they haven't picked up yet.

I bought this set as a gift for my niece who is really into Tinkerbell. Thought she might enjoy reading the history behind Tink and Peter and the gang. With every book she reads she calls me in the middle and at the end thanking me for giving her this set of books!! She tells me in great detail what has been going on in the stories. How Tinkerbell got her name, how Peter keeps loosing his shadow, why they are called the lost boys, who Wendy is, all with such excitement in her voice. She is now in the middle of the third book, and can't wait, sort of, to start the forth. I asked her why she was hesitant and she said, because there wasn't a fifth book yet!! I laughed and told her to be patient that there would be she just had to wait and watch for it. She totally LOVES this series of books!!! She can't put them down and can't wait to pick up the next book.

Peter Pan for Pre-Teens,
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Peter and the Starcatchers: The Starcatchers Series Books 1-3: Paperback Box Set (Paperback)
This is a great series, I got it for Christmas and I couldn't put it down. It explains everything, from how Peter Pan learned to fly to why Neverland is Neverland. When people at school asked what it was about, I sayed it was like Peter Pan for pre-teens. If you like this series, try Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Person.

I bought these to read to my son when he was 5, but when I realized much of the language was just a tad beyond him I read them myself. Super entertaining and I read through all three books in quick succession even though I'm not exactly an avid reader. Recommended!
