I am looking to puchase a more true to the story/advanced version of Peter and the Wolf to use when I teach. We cover Peter and the Wolf in a basic form in grade 1 and I use the old Disney version for that. I am looking for something to use as we follow-up our learning in grade 2. I found much of this video available for viewing on-line. The stop-motion animation is amazing; there is no music or speach until Peter finally gets through the gate: extremely effective. But way to advanced... I would think this shouldn't be used until grade 5 or higher (certainly right into high school)

The original narration is far superior
I wish you had not included the bit about the bad boys who beat up on Peter. It adds nothing to the story

Purchased it for my grandchildren.
Too violent - no warning that inappropriate for younger children.
Music not given enough prominence.
Just a cartoon...
