My toy poodle just wasn't getting it at our weekly agility class, so I bought these to work at home. Although they are not regulation width (should be 24" apart, are 21"), practicing at home without any pressure has made a huge difference. She now understands the concept and is happily weaving! I would recommend buying the guides. You won't need them for long, but it makes the training so much easier for both handler and dog.

I was a bit disappointed when I set these up. They only go in a straight line and am teaching my dogs the channel method. But then I thought about it and what should I have expected for $60? These are okay if your dog already knows how to weave but remember - you get what you pay for.

Petsafe weave poles do not measrue up Aug. 22 2012

Petsafe weave poles are exactly as the manufacture claims, and the quality is very good.
The two organizations that I am familar with the standard is 24" between poles. The two sets I purchased are 20" between poles.
The quality of the product is good, but the spacing of the petsafe will not allow the speed neccesary to really train for competition. Thank You

great deal on training equipment Aug. 1 2011

I teach Canine Good Citizenship and my students always want an advanced class. So I decided to get some "light" agility equipment. We have a great time with the PetSafe equipment. This is not competition equipment, but for training and play. These pieces are easy to assemble and disassemble. Are actually very sturdy and well put together. And most of all- the price is right!

Hoping for better May 13 2012

I was really excited to try this out with my border collie rescue. However, the "portable" aspect means they don't stay together well. My already nervous dog bumps into them when he is weaving and knocks them over, making him nervous about the poles. I wish I had spent a bit more money to buy a better set.

Just for play...not really for training. Aug. 12 2013

As previous reviewers have mentioned, the poles come apart very easily...and don't work well at all unless the ground is very level. They are also not the 24" standard width between poles. This would not be a difficult problem to overcome if one can replace the sections between the poles with 24" cuts, but the pvc is all 5/8" od pvc which is virtually impossible to find. Also, some of the couplers were not 90 degrees in my original set. The company did replace those quickly. In summary, I wish I had put my money on a better set.
