Chateauneuf: a Grand Cru of a mill if ever there was one. Solid and substantial, this mill is made from select French beech wood and accented with brushed stainless steel. It features Peugeot's exclusive u'Select grind adjustment system, which allows the grind to be adjusted with a simple turn of your wrist! Turn the ring at the bottom of the mill in one direction to make the grind finer; turn in the other direction to make it coarser. Once the grind size is set, it will stay in place until the user changes it. This mill is equipped with Peugeot’s exceptional salt grinding mechanism: two ribbed plates are made from a stainless steel blend that offers resiliency, rigidity and resistance to corrosion from dry salts. When the mechanism is activated, the ribs work to twist and fracture each salt crystal to the desired size. Mill is 9.5 inches tall with a black matte finish.

We have both the Pepper and the Salt Mill. This is an amazing mill. The difference between grinds is quite large which makes this very versatile for cooking and eating.It feels great to use.

A beautiful unit, just the right weight and balance. The grinding mechanism makes uniform grain size depending on the setting. The smallest size setting is difficult to get to, one must make a strong twist because the salt grains are in the way. We just use the next sizes up. Becareful not to use this directly above steaming hot food, the water vapor may dissolve the salt on the grinder and eventually cause corrosion. I take this precaution and does not have corrosion problem on my shakers, I have 2 of them.
