The Teacher & The Tollbooth, Jan 9 2012

This was one part of a two-part gift (with the DVD) to my daughter who recently received her Master's in Education and knows a thing or two about creating teaching guides herself. We remember fondly reading the book together when she was growing up. In High School, many of the words she learned from this tale helped her on tests, in papers and made the transition to college a bit more easy.
She read several of the assignments from this excellent teaching guide and found them very useful. Of course, like any dedicated teeacher, she intends to augment and re-arrange the tasks and learning problems to fit her exact needs but this guide was a terrific jumping-off point.
I asked her if she thought an over-worked teacher could hit the ground running with this guide if time did not permit alterations and she believes it would, especially if the teacher was not familiar with the book or had not read it for several years.
Like Milo, the teacher will never be bored.

I do not find this teacher guide useful or helpful. I wish I had purchased the standard lesson plan guide instead.
