I bought this book for my daughter (who is a freshman in a pre-pharmacy program) to use as a review for the cert exam. She thought it thoroughly covered what was on the exam. The CD was a great testing tool and offered new questions each time. She passed with flying colors and only had a couple of weeks to study!

Used only this book to study for the PTCE and passed easily. I only studied for about 2 weeks (about 3-4 hours a day, 4-5 days per week) and was able to finish the test, review my answers, and leave the test with 20 minutes to spare. The end of chapter questions and study questions on the CD helped tremendously.

I bought this book thinking since it was the latest one I could find, there would be updated laws and a complete review of them. I didn't think the book fully prepared me for the contents of the test. There is a good chunk which covers the math and the pharmacology but there is a lot of information that the author should/needed to add. I passed the PTCE so it's not a total loss but if I started over, I probably wouldn't have purchased this book.
