I have purchased this dual screen portable player a couple days ago. It is easy to use by an adult but before buying this kind of car player, one has to understand that until the children can operate a DVD by themselves (navigate in the DVD menu, choose a chapter, start and stop the movie), the adult passenger (Mom) will have to climb on her seat to set it while the car is in motion. This is a small price to pay for peace during long trips.
I specifically purchased this one because of it's "Full Resume on Power Loss" feature. All other models did not have this feature start from the beginning whenever power is cut (stop for gas, for example). However, I must say that I was disappointed by this feature because it is doing half of the job. It resumes indeed close to the stopping point in the DVD, but I forgets all the settings that were made after the disk was inserted (if you have chosen "play all episode" or changed the language, for example).
Another small issue that tickled me is the fact that the manual is extremely concise. It lists the different possible settings in the player menu, but it does not explain what is does. I chatted with an agent at Philips for 20 minutes asking 2 simple questions and the agent wasn't helpful at all, he was reading the same manual.
Conclusion: for the price, it is okay; it does the job, not less, not more.
