Photographic Atlas of Botany, Jun 4 2011
This review is from: Photographic Atlas of Botany & Guide to Plant Identification (Spiral-bound)
For anyone who is interested in learning more about all those botanical terms used in plant manuals, then this is the book for you. The book consists of over 2,000 high quality photos describing the various parts of a plant. The first 58 pages describe different roots systems, stem types, leaf shapes, flower forms and fruit shapes. While the majority of the book describes the major features that separate out the various plant families found across the world. Each plant family includes 4 to 20 colour photos, clearly indicating various structures relating to that family.
One drawback to this book is that the glossary at the back does not provide a page reference for where it is described in the main body of the book.
I would recommend this publication for anyone interested in plant anatomy!
