Great,

Brand new book, fairly price, got the book two weeks after I paid for it, little slower than I expected but everything else is perfect.

Best Overall Guide to Photoshop,
By
This review is from: Photoshop CS4, Volume 1: Visual QuickStart Guide (Paperback)
This is the best overall guide to Photoshop that I have seen. I withheld the fifth star only because I am disappointed that the publishers have split it into two volumes, starting with CS4. But it is both much more comprehensive and much better organized and easier to use than any other book I have found on this invaluable but often baffling software.

Great book,

I bought this book for a class that I am taking and it is very well written and in full colour, which may or may not be important; to me, it is. It is pretty thorough. I have had some experience with Photoshop, but I have learned a great deal about this program that I hadn't known before hand with this book. I am waiting for the Illustrator CS4 book to be released.

These CS4 QuickStart Guides look like a great idea. Was told about them by a friend who said they start you off just like you don't know anything about the product and walk you through the whole product bit by bit.Wonderful idea. Will buy more of these to get myself caught up on Adobe's line.

I found this book easy to understand with its color images of the photoshop menu settings and step by step instructions to more tasks than I knew existed. Since it's jam packed with information, skimming for the pictures brought me back easily to what I needed again after I forgot what the technique would be listed as in an index.I've tried looking up certain PS tricks online but I usually end up wishing I had this book handy. You can find what you want to do quicker. The tutorial examples ranges from simple tasks to complex, so whatever your level of expertise, you should be able to find the instructions you need. The healing brush tool (instant wrinkle remover) on p. 290 is my new best friend. |
