This book is not just a how-to guide: it's a guide filled with tips from two real pros (at photography as well as postpocessing). Prior understanding of Photoshop Elements isn't really required because a lot of basics are covered in the first few chapters. In my opinion, you get the most out of the descriptions when you have PS Elements and an image (jpeg/tiff/raw) open alongside it. Great book to have as a reference guide!

This is "The Book" for the Photoshop Elements User. For everyone from the beginner to the more advanced user.
Well written in a simple language, this is a must for everyone who works with PSE.
A hole in one for Kelby and Kloskowski.
Bravo !!!

The beauty of this series is that the author does not regurgitate all of the 'what does each tool do' stuff found in most other 'how to ' books.
you want to know how to get rid of wrinkles ? theres a section on it...
just the steps ...
great for people who hate to read manuals... great for those who want to do something and want to find out how FAST !

Invaluable source of information on photos correction with Photoshop Elements 10. This is not a book describing every single options of Photoshop Elements but a list of straight to the point tips and tricks on how to correct photos with the application. Couldn't be easier to read and understand.

The book is organized so that you can just look up what you want to do (e.g., Removing or Lessening Wrinkles) and all the steps are right there in that section. You don't have read all the previous chapters first. Step by step instructions. Images that show you exactly where the buttons and settings are on your Photoshop Elements screen. Indicates both the PC and Mac shortcut commands.

Now I really feel like I understand the basics of how layers and layer adjustments work. Experimenting with them is much less frustrating now.

Another excellent book from Scott Kelby (whose works I have previously purchased) and Matt Kloskowski with some great examples. It would have been nice if they had made most of the pictures from each chapter "tutorial" available on their web site so I could have reproduced EXACTLY what the book showed. All in all an excellent reference to get near-neophytes acquainted with the wonders of Photoshop editing - highly recommended!

Straight forward instructions. Simple to follow. I needed to upgrade my Elements 6 book and didn't hesitate to buy from the same authors.

I have read some tutorials but nothing close to the clarity of this one. Go for it, buy it, You will not regret it.

Very useful material although not as great as other Kelby's books. Anyway, it's time to move on to Elements 11!
