I see that no one has written a review for this CD & also that the listing is for an "On Demand" CD-R. I have the original 1986 CD by Blue Note therefore I will comment on the history of the artist & on the music rather than the cover. Michel Petrucciani has many CD's out there, I don't know of one bad recording. Most of the time he plays with a Jazz Trio as in this case; Michel Petrucciani (French) on piano, Palle Danielsson (Swedish) on bass, & Ellot Sigmund (American) on drums. The music was recorded on December 20, 1985 & sounds like a live version but without the audience. 4 out of the 6 songs are composed by Michel Petrucciani, the other 2 are "Night & day" by Cole Porter & "Here's That Rainy Day" by James Van Heusen & Johnny Burke. As always most songs show off Michel's speed & skill of improv Jazz but with a few romantic or moody music to quiet things down a bit. This CD will give hours of entrainment but maybe not one of the best of his vast but short career. 20 years ago I was so "Into" Michel's music that I bought 10 of his CD's at one time but burned myself out that I didn`t buy any more. I am now starting to get back "Into" his music but my rating system may not be the best.
