5.0 out of 5 stars A great gift book from someone who really knows Provence., May 11 1999

This review is from: Picnics of Provence: French Country-Style Picnics to Enjoy at Home or Abroad (Hardcover)
The recipes and art in this book are really provocative of Provence. Mr. Pyes and Mr. Van Gough make a good team. Mr. Van Gough's illustrations have an exactitude that you want art to have; and Mr. Pyes writing is very impressionistic, just right for the chemistry of cooking. Too bad this book is out of print!
