I bought this album along with "¿Dónde Están Los Ladrones?" after buying "Laundry Service." I loved "Ladrones," but wasn't too hot on "Pies." After a couple listens, though, I really came to love it. Just because it's a completely different sound than all of her other albums doesn't mean it's the 'flop album,' it's really probably closer to her true style!
It's a largely acoustic album, but it's done excellently in a non-boring way. "Un Poco de Amor" has a slight Reggae feel to it, with a catchy beat. "Te Espero Sentada" is a wonderful treat, that goes a musical direction I never expected. The verses and the chorus sound so different, but blend so well. "Se Quiere, Se Mata" is a story about the ills of lust and abortion.
I am every day more impressed with this album and I never regret that I bought it.
