I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about...I love these tongs, and they had no trouble picking up 3 pounds of roast beef this afternoon. I definitely recommend them.

These are definitely salad tongs that won't get mixed up with other people's at the next pot luck dinner. Fun and functional. Haven't had them a long time, so can't comment on that, but if there is a problem, I will let you know. So far, very happy with my purchase. Also matches the drain basket for the kitchen sink.
