Wow, are these movies bad.,

My son really wanted these movies, as he is currently reading the books in school. I remember seeing them when I was young and thought it would be a nice idea to have them for my son. Well, quite simply, these movies are awful. Besides the obvious fact that they are dated, the lip syncing isn't even close and the stories are ridiculous. That being said, my 8 yr old son LOVES them. So just know this before you purchase them and you won't be quite so disappointed.

Don't pay attention to the other reviewer. Clearly they don't do their research and are too ignorant to appreciate these masterpieces in children's film. These are the original Swedish movies from 1969-1970 with their original english (American, not British as seen in the TV Series release) dubbing for a North American audience. I saw these as a child in the 90's and I appreciated them. They bring back so many memories. If you can't handle dubbing go melt your brain with Hanna Montana.

Pippi Longstocking - foreign dvds,

I was disapointed that the description of this product did not indicate that they are foreign with English voice over. It was too strange for my six year old to understand so we didn't even get through the first ten minutes of the first dvd.I wanted to return it, but the rules for returning say the packaging has to be intact. I had to take off the plastic to try out the first movie, and the other two dvds we didn't touch, but the plastic was already off the box. So we are stuck with it. I think the description of this dvd package is misleading and I think people should avoid purchasing it.
