LOVE it,

"Plain Jane" is amazing! I bought it today and already love it. I would say it's definitely one of, if not, Chantal's best. Highlights upon first listen include "Ordinary People", "The Way", and "Halfway Around The World". Some of the songs are very jazzy, which is a departure for her. But for the most part, this is right up there with "What If It All Means Something" in how commercial it is. There are no "Wendy House"'s on this album.

Beautiful lyrics and melodies,

Just went to catch Chantal Kreviazuk in concert in Ottawa and it was an amazing experience. One could not help but be moved by the raw passion in her voice and by the stunning back up band which was composed of a cello, a violin and drums. But what really stood out for me was the way Chantal played the piano. She didn't just play it, she possessed it. It was so raw and organic in its sound, it left an indelible aural experience. Chantal also perfomed her greatest track ever, "Feels Like Home," which was our wedding song and made the concert extra memorable.The day after the concert, I ran to my nearest record store and bought Plain Jane. It is a wonderful CD, full of very catchy and hummable tunes. It is on perpetual play in my car. Standout tracks are the lead off single "Invicible" but the ones that really pack an emotional punch are 5000 days, Half of Me, Ordinary People, Today, and Say the Word. If you are a fan of really profound lyrics and true musical talent, I say give this CD a listen. I'm pretty sure, you'll also be blown away. To Chantal, a million thanks for continuing to bless the world with your raw talent and more importantly, for keeping the music real.

I honestly didn't think Chantal Kreviazuk could top her Ghost Stories album, but she did just that with Plain Jane. From start to finish, it's pure excellence. Simply put, if you've heard Miss Kreviazuk's music before and liked it, buy this album, you won't be sorry.

I have loved her angelic voice ever since I heard "Jet Plane" on the Armageddon soundtrack. Since then, Ive bought all her albums, this latest one via amazon. Arrived in good condition. The songs arent bad at all, although on prev albums I loved ALL the songs, this one had a few I couldnt listen to a second time. All in all, some new typical chantal songs are there which is good.
