'Expect risky escapades, reams of advice and lots of fun' DAILY EXPRESS 'She's actually really great: fantastically frank, entertaining and clever. I couldn't put this down.' -- Sara Lawrence DAILY MAIL

Product Description

Game over? Belle is starting to wonder if she should call time on the call girl business: get a day job, a life free from secrets and have a 'normal' relationship with the Boy. But will Belle cope with the nine-to-five, a staggering decline in her underwear budget and no more paid sex? As Belle explores life and love after the game, her story is frank, smart and refreshingly honest. Punctuated with advice, anecdotes and reflections in her inimitable voice, this is a novel of secrets and lies, scabrous wit and more than a little lust.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a trilogy, Jan 12 2010
This review is from: Playing the Game (Paperback)
Having read Intimate and Further Adventures of a London Call Girl I was looking forward to this third instalment. In the opening Belle says anyone familiar with her pervious books can skip the introduction; which indicated that this is not a continuation of the first two books but a fictional parallel universe of where she and her friends may have ended up.

My disappointment came almost instantly; as I began to read the diary formatted fiction I discovered that the ease of writing from the first two books had been lost. The writer's tone felt more contrived, and I was disappointed that some entries were repeats; taken from the former books.

As a stand alone fiction this book is an easy enjoyable and humorous read and, once accepting that, I have enjoyed the story. However, I do not recommend this to anyone looking for the third part in the Belle de Jour 'London Call Girl' series.
