Reo Speedwagon's entry in Sony's Playlist series covers all of Reo's biggest hit singles. It even includes the top 40 hit "Keep the Fire Burning" that didn't make 1988's The Hits album, as well as the concert staple "Golden Country" from the Reo T.W.O. album. Of course as with any hits album you aren't going to please everyone, but then again the hits albums are made to appeal to the general public, the ones who enjoy the radio hits. Reo is one of my favorite bands, but I'm not gonna moan because certain albums and songs are overlooked. Playlist hits the nail on the head, by including Reo's most commercial tunes, and concert favorites like "Back on the Road Again" and "Golden Country". Now I wouldn't purchase this if you already have "The Hits" on cd, but if you didn't have "The Hits" or don't own any Reo albums this is a good place to start.

Can't fight this feeling, Oct 6 2011

I had this album when I was in high school and about every song was a hit. REO wasn't my favorite band, but the songs they came out with in this album were always great to listen to. I bought it as for a blast from the past.

Livin' in the Chicago area where REO got their start (driving that old station wagon) we get some opportunities to see them in person and I was able to go to a local town's fest where they played, enjoyed them immensely, and realized I didn't have a CD of there's and so I got this great compilation, it has all there hits and fan favorites, I think anyone will enjoy each song (if not there's certainly only a few they may not recognize or appreciate)
these songs are classics, still played on the radio, or even background on the news, I heard one on CNN for one of their segways, AND when they showed the Ashley and JP flashback moments before they showed the proposal etc. - they played REO's 'Can't Fight This Feeling'
so really if you don't have this yet, you'll HAVE to get it 'cause its just part of American rock 'n roll and part of our culture (fer sure).
