This is third in the series of this crossword book series I have bought . The authors have a unique style in designing the puzzle (ie never telling you when there are more than one word in the answer) but one you realize this , they are fun to solve. What also makes this series useful is the there is an elastic longwise around the book so it retains a pencil inside so great for traveling .

I wanted a small book of crossword puzzles to fit into my handbag. This book is a little heavy, but the dimensions are just right. I would rate the difficulty level of the puzzles as medium, but you can use the "Search inside this book" to look at the puzzles and judge for yourself. (I just used "Across" as my search term.) The cover is like textured velvet, the title information is on a removable paper band, and there's a handy elastic strap to keep the book closed.

Overall this is a stylish and convenient way to exercise your mind, especially when you're sitting somewhere just waiting.

I was unsure when I ordered this book, but found it was just right for me. I didn't just blow through them all, had to think a bit, and they got progressively more difficult toward the end. Just the right amount to mental exercise I was looking for.

I received this as a gift from the cover designer. I love it. I agree with the first reviewer about them being "medium" in difficulty. Hard enough to be a challenge, but not frustratingly so. Perfect size and weight to keep in your purse, and great for travelling. I like the elastic bookmark too. The quality of the book would make it a nice gift.
