Product Description

From Amazon.com

Alyssa Milano plays Lily, a Good Girl who moves to LA to attend art school and discovers a secret diary belonging to Ivy, from the previous movie. (That plot point alone should warn you that Poison Ivy 2 bears, at best, a distant resemblance to the original, and more's the pity.) Inspired by Ivy's "philosophy" of pushing all boundaries, Lily decides to explore the dark side of herself, which basically boils down to her chasing after a petulant, self-absorbed sculptor (Johnathon Schaech) and in turn being chased by her leacherous, self-absorbed art teacher. The point of movies like Ivy 2 is to have some fun, a few thrills, and we're done, thank you very much. But the filmmakers felt obliged to lard this thing up with ponderous pretension and Artistic Angst. The result is sort of a cross between Bikini Med School and La Notte, with a happy ending tacked on. Bleh. Milano tries her best to inject a little life and humanity into the proceedings, but it's an uphill climb all the way. --Geof Miller

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Portrayals, Mar 8 2012

The collection was very fascinating in their portrayal of 3 lost young women. I was not surprised to see all 3 use their sexual talents to try and find the personality they were seeking. My favourite was the original with Drew Barrymore and it was based on what I felt was a great performance by the actress. I am not sure all will be intrigued by these movies because the sexuality plays a major role, but if you can overlook the sexual content and delve into the personal development of the character "Ivy", I think you will find these to be entertaining and thought provoking as to how young girls can struggle with finding the person they are.

3.0 out of 5 stars For Alyssa Fans Only, Aug 21 2001
This review is from: Poison Ivy 2: Lily (VHS Tape)
If you love Alyssa Milano then you will love her in this movie. If you don't like her then you will hate it. Milano is absolutely stunning and does very well from innocnet Lily to seductress Lily. Unfortunatly the script is awful and the movie drags on and on.Alyssa doesn't even get the pleasure of working with talented actors which could have made the movie better.Xander Berkely is awful and unappealing as the art teacher and I cringed whenever he was in a scene. Jonathan Scheach did what he could in a role that had no substance whatsoever. This film is shot beautifully and the director does everything she can to make Alyssa look beautiful in every shot. As I said if your an Alyssa fan get this movie, if your a fan of Poison Ivy with Drew Barrymore, just watch that one again.

wow.i was disappointed in the first Poison Ivy movie, but compared to this movie,it is a masterpiece.this is one long, slow, tedious movie.the plot of the movie(if you can call it that,is incoherent.i would say it was ant climatic, but there is no climax, and without that, you can't have an anti climatic movie.to me,this movie is basically a soft core porn.i watched the whole movie hoping for some good to come out of it.no such luck.there are a few minutes of action, but not enough to redeem this movie.plus,i thought the dialogue was cringe worthy.i think the movie was just an excuse for people to get naked.anyway,i didn't like it at all.for me Poison Ivy II is a 1/5
